Hi I’m Cristian Neagu an web designer & developer living in Romania. I own a small company Candes Projects and I’m offering web services. This blog is an online source for topics ranging from XHTML/CSS, development tips, SEO, usability, advertising, and good stuff form the web that gets my interests. I’m currently collaborating with some companies like Evozon, Bricabox, TheLocalLife.

I’ve been working in web development area for 8 years, and some of my experience is reflected in my work section. Other project that I worked for are:

• Faculte.com – Multimedia communications platform for professionals and organizations. I added by knowledge on the player UI and UX and overall application;
• Service Smart – Web-based system, providing customers with ‘touch of a button’ real-time updates on repairs and servicing, plus a comphrehensive asset management tool and online fault reporting. I developed the application, taking care of the UI and flow.
• Album2.com – Family photo sharing. I created the layout, UI & UX of the photos sharing application.

I’m a Apple fan, I love traveling, diving and driving, play basketball and have a good time.

What I am?

I go by the title of  ‘developer, designer, consultant’, what does this mean exactly? Well I’m a mixture of UI designer and developer and I offer my services and knowledge as consultant. Basically I design websites with UI and UX focus, I implement them respecting standards in XHTML and CSS files. I also do Flash animations, Javascript and PHP programming. I love creating beautiful websites and applications that are engaging and useable.

I like to call me a CSS Guru, because I love working with CSS and I’m very careful that the website looks exactly like the design in all browsers. So if you ever need help or have questions don’t hesitate to contact me.

Freelancer?

Yes, I also do freelance design & development. If you’re interested in hiring me for some web 2.0 work email me. A brief outline of your project is enough to go on at this stage, as I prefer talking things through more personally with clients.

What I’m working with?

Currently working with the following technologies:

• XHTML & CSS – with the up-most respect for web standards, accessibility
• PHP – I used to love to work with CakePHP framework, but not I’m fully addicted to Zend Framework.
• JavaScript – I love jQuery. I think is the best js framework for designers!
• Adobe AIR – The technology that allows you to build web applications that can run on your desktop.

Using the following tools when required:

• Adobe Creative Suite 3
• Eclipse with Aptana support
• A pen and pencil for sketches and new ideas.

What platforms I work ok are:

• Wordpress – for Blogging and some Corporate Sites
• Drupal and Joomla – for Corporate CMS
• Magento – for E-Commerce
• OsCommerce – Not any more, God thanks for Magento!
